I started the house hunting process online and attempted to contact real estate agencies in Lyon by e-mail as my French is not yet up to standard.

After a number of emails that went without reply I reached out to Lyon Expat to see if they could offer me help finding a flat.


They were incredibly helpful from the first e-mail and offered me as much information as possible to help get the process started but also offered a lot of great information on the city.

They used a simple questionnaire to determine the needs for my new flat and I was really pleased with the potential places they had set up for viewings.
I really liked that they arranged the flat viewings to take place on one day, making it easier to take time off from work and not only that but I found the place I wanted to stay in that one day.

The help offered did not stop there, as they then were present for me to sign the contract as well as explain the contract requirements and how to set up important household necessities such as electric and gas accounts.

Overall, I have had a great experience working with Lyon Expat Services and I extend my thanks to both Sophie and Catherine who helped me specifically.
